The beginning of this journey, the creation of the Interim Tarot deck, was amidst a moment of collective chaos: the spring of 2020. Alongside millions of others, I was laid off by my job when the country and world shut down, with no idea how I could work in any of the service industry jobs where I have experience.
Embedded in images and extrapolated in depth in Interim Illuminated, are influences of the Dao. Conversely, my understanding of that theory is very likely influenced by Tarot: two bodies I studied in depth at the same time.
This deck exists in the interim space between these bodies and branches of thought; it webs and weaves into numerous other bodies such as fairytales, mythology, astrology, animal medicine, literature, queer and gender theory, intersectional politics and the somatic body. In the extended guide you will have access to numerous charts and diagrams like the two seen above to help connect this idea.
